The new Maruti Alto, based on the Future Concept S is expected to launch in India this year. To get SUV looks, better features and more safety.

Maruti Suzuki is soon going to launch the production version of the Future Concept S in India that we all saw at last year’s Auto Expo. It has already started testing this vehicle o our roads. And hence, a number of spy shots of the same have also started furfacing on the internet.

So far, Maruti Suzuki has been completely silent regarding the details of this vehicle. We are still not sure if this vehicle is going to be the replacement of the Alto or launch as a micro-SUV.

A recent set of spy images of the production-ready version of this vehicle sheds some more light. It is quite evident that this vehicle is going to get an SUV-ish design. It will offer a raised ride height, in sync with the Concept Future S.

Maruti can in-fact launch this vehicle as a replacement for the Alto. The design is sure to attract entry-level car buyers which have started to move away from this segment in the wake of outdated products.

The production version of the new Maruti Alto based on the Future Concept S could have a contemporary cabin layout. It is likely to get features such as a touchscreen infotainment system. steering mounted audio controls and automatic climate control.

The new Maruti Alto is likely to come with a new petrol engine. This engine will be paired to a 5-peed manual gearbox. There could be an AMT unit on offer as well.

Prices for the new Maruti Alto are expected to fall in-between the range of INR 3 lakh to INR 5 lakh.
