The compact SUV comes with a new turbo petrol mill, along with the existing NA petrol and CNG options
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the new Brezza Turbo Boosterjet for the enthusiast drivers in India. Note that this is the first time the Brezza gets a peppy turbo petrol mill and a new 6-speed manual transmission. Apart from that, there are minor exterior changes and an extensive features list. All this is necessary to challenge the domination from the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, etc. This is one of the most crowded spaces in our market. For now, let us take a look at the details of the new Maruti Brezza.
New Maruti Suzuki Brezza – Specs, Mileage and Price
The new Brezza is available with two engine options and two fuel options. These include a 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol mill with petrol and CNG configurations. The turbo petrol generates a healthy 110 PS and 170 Nm, while the NA petrol belts out a familiar 103 PS and 139 Nm and the CNG avatar is good for 88 PS and 121 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. Note that the new turbo petrol and CNG mills can be paired with a sole 6-speed manual transmission, while the NA petrol version is offered with the option of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Hence, a wide range of combinations are available to cater to the varied needs of the buyers.
Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki claims a mileage of 20.47 km/l with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, 21.09 km/l with the 1.5-litre NA petrol version and an impressive 26.9 km/kg with the CNG mill. Clearly, these are among the better figures in the segment. For now, Maruti has only announced the starting price for the Brezza, which is Rs 7.40 lakh, ex-showroom for the turbo Brezza. This is an introductory price, which could attract a lot of buyers. Going forward, I will update this section when more details surface.

Also, safety is a huge concern for buyers in this day and age. New Maruti Suzuki Brezza – Design and Dimensions
The new Maruti Suzuki Brezza Turbo Boosterjet retains the familiar upright SUV silhouette but incorporates a few subtle updates to lend it a sportier and more contemporary appearance. At the front, the revised grille, sleeker LED headlamps and a more aggressive bumper help it look sharper than before, while the dual-tone alloy wheels and fresh exterior colour options enhance its youthful appeal. The strong shoulder lines, squared wheel arches and generous ground clearance continue to give the compact SUV a muscular road presence, something Indian buyers have always appreciated. Overall, Maruti has played it safe with the design, refining an already successful formula rather than opting for a complete overhaul, which should work well for existing Brezza fans.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza has long been one of the most sensible choices in the compact SUV segment, but it has always lacked the punch that driving enthusiasts were looking for. The introduction of the new Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine finally addresses that gap while retaining the brand’s strengths of practicality, fuel efficiency and affordability. With a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, a comprehensive feature list and multiple powertrain options, the Brezza now presents an even more compelling package. It will be interesting to see if this turbocharged avatar is enough to lure buyers away from established rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
