Mercedes-Benz Launches C 250 d in India at INR 44.36 lacs

MBIL has added a new variant to the highly successful C-Class lineup in the form of the C 250 d, which now becomes the top end variant of the C-Class on sale in India. Mercedes C Class Diesel India launch took place in Pune last year followed by the commencement of local assembly resulting in a price drop of around INR 2 lacs. Even the newly launched C 250 d, which is priced at INR 44.36 lacs, will be locally assembled and adds to the existing lineup of diesel C-Clas variants that includes the C 220 d Style and Avantgarde trims. With the launch of the C 25 d , Mercedes-Benz has also introduced the new 9G-TRONIC transmission. The C-Class, which was adjudged the ‘World Car of the Year’. has turned out to be very successful model for MBIL and this new variant will help cater to a much wider audience. Price

Mercedes-Benz has priced the new C 250 d at INR 44.36 lacs (ex-showroom, Pune). The C 220 d STYLE diesel is priced at Rs. 37.90 lakhs, and the C 220 d AVANTGARDE diesel is priced at Rs. 39.90 lakhs (prices ex-showroom Delhi).
The C 200 Avantgarde petrol is priced at Rs. 38.90 lakhs (prices ex-showroom Delhi) while the C63 S AMG costs INR 1.30 Crore.

Technical Details

Mercedes claims that the new C-Class’ diesel engine is the most fuel efficient in the segment with a fuel efficiency of 19.71 km per litre. Together with a large fuel tank capacity of 66 litres it gives the customers freedom to explore places around them without worrying about frequent trips to the fuel station. The engine also boasts of ECO start/stop function which helps in saving fuel and reducing emissions. The engine produces 204 HP with a maximum torque of 500 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.6 seconds.

Drive mode selector (AGILITY SELECT): At a touch of the Drive Mode Selector, drivers can choose between Comfort, Economy, Sport, Sport+, or Individual driving modes. Parameters such as the engine, transmission and steering characteristics are adjusted according to the selected transmission mode. In the ‘Sport and Sport+’ modes the driver can experience added agility and dynamism, thanks to a more direct characteristic steering curve, spontaneous throttle response and modified shift points, providing an exciting and engaging driving experience.
