The much-awaited electric iteration of the famed Tata Harrier has finally been launched in India

New-Age Features on Tata Harrier.ev
This trailer was posted by TATAev on YouTube. The visuals capture the main highlights of the electric SUV. It starts off with demonstrating the Summon Mode, where the EV drives itself out of the parking spot toward the owner. That is a convenient feature for tight parking spots in urban environments. Then, the driver takes the Harrier.ev for a spin around the treacherous regions of the mountains. To support the owners, the EV gets multi-terrain modes, boost mode, digi access, 540-degree surround view camera, HD rear view mirror, and much more. Some other bits include:

Apart from that, the Tata Harrier.ev draws power from two battery pack options – 65 kWh and 75 kWh. The SUV boasts a 158 PS front motor and 238 PS rear motor with a combined torque output of 504 Nm. The AWD configuration ensures top performance on broken roads. In fact, the 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.3 seconds indicates just that. Taking care of the braking, the Tata Harrier.ev comes with 4 levels of regenerative braking to recuperate some energy while braking. Using a 120 kW DC fast charger, the battery goes from 20% to 80% in 25 minutes. At present, Tata Motors has announced that the EV will start at Rs 21.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
