Nissan Magnite

Going by the recently leaked prices, Nissan Magnite will come in the range as that of Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza and Volkswagen Polo.

Nissan Magnite is all set to be launched this month and all details about it are already out. Recently, even its prices were leaked online, detailing the variant-wise price list. Looking at that, Magnite will become the most affordable sub-compact SUV in India even cheaper than many premium hatchbacks and sub-compact sedans.

Nissan Magnite

Prices of Magnite start at Rs 5.50 Lakhs going up to Rs 9.55 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). If seen, it is slightly costlier than the Maruti Baleno, Tata Altroz and Toyota Glanza. On the other hand, it comes in cheaper than Volkswagen Polo, Honda Jazz and 2020 Hyundai i20. With sedans, its top-end variant is cheaper than Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura.

The turbo variants of Magnite are priced from Rs 7.25 Lakhs, which is the usual price of the base variant of many sub compact SUVs. Tata Nexon gets a turbo petrol engine as standard, while Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet get one as an option. Both their turbo variants are priced an upwards of Rs 9 to 10 Lakhs, easily.

The top-end variant of Magnite is the turbo-CVT combination, which is the first for the segment. It is still cheaper than the automatic variants of Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Volkswagen Polo. With these prices and many segment first features, Nissan Magnite is surely set to take the market by a storm.

Nissan Magnite will come with two engine options – a 72 PS producing 1.0 Litre three-cylinder petrol and a 100 PS producing 1.0 Litre three-cylinder turbo petrol. The naturally aspirated motor will come with a 5-speed MT as standard, while the turbo motor will get a manual stick and a CVT.
