For a couple of days a dirt bike from Hero MotoCorp was in news and was drawing maximum attention and while everyone was busy figuring out which products it may launch, the company has officially unveiled a gearless scooter and a dirt bike along with its brand new company logo in London.
The 110 CC gearless scooter has been named as Maestro whereas the 150 CC four stroke, dual purpose off road motorcycle will be known as Impulse and both will be launched in the Indian market before the end of the current year.
No price details and specifications of the two have been disclosed and will only be made available at the time of their official launch. Bollywood Actor Ranbir Kapoor and Cricketer Irfan Pathan have been introduced as the brand ambassadors.
With an investment of around Rs. 4500 Crore the company plans to introduce a complete line-up of products and set up three facilities in the coming future with the first one coming up in Rajasthan, the second in Southern region and a third, export oriented plant in the western side of India.
For the third export governed facility, thirty potential markets have already been identified and the list of the regions includes, south-east Asia, Africa and Latin/Central America and many others. The expectations of the brand are already high as it plans to sell around 10 million units annually in India and nearly one million across the targeted global markets.
The company has already spent approximately Rs. 200 Crore on the new logo and now will invest another 4500 Crore INR, which I hope do help the brand get a firmer hold over the Indian market as well as other global markets.
