Ola S1 Pro vs RE Bullet Tug of War

Tug of war has emerged as a popular solution among social media influencers to compare the performances of popular automobiles.

In this latest tug of war, the Ola S1 Pro is up against the mighty RE Bullet. Now, both these are two completely different two-wheelers. On one hand, the S1 Pro is an electric scooter. It is among the most prominent names in the industry. The Indian EV startup makes capable electric scooters with great performance and high range. On the other hand, the Royal Enfield Bullet is among the most popular tourer motorcycles in the country ever. Its retro design and characteristics are still loved by millions. Let us take a look at the details of this tug of war video.

Ola S1 Pro vs RE Bullet Tug of War

This post comes from ev.insider17 on Instagram. It captures a rather bizarre visual. Two people have tied the electric scooter and motorcycle from their rear ends. This is a typical setup for a tug of war competition. They sit on their respective vehicles and begin to accelerate. The aim is to pull the other vehicle. Interestingly, the Ola S1 Pro starts pulling away the Bullet as the Bullet rider was just kicking it to start. We are not even sure if the bike was started. There is no way it was accelerating. Hence, this looks like a fake video and the netizens clearly see through it.

The netizens are commenting heavily on this post. In terms of the technicalities, we know that EVs possess instant torque. This means that their pulling capacity is quite high. However, in this video, it looks like the electric scooter is simply pulling away a parked Bullet as there is no throttle input from the Bullet rider. That is not surprising since many people do such things just to get some views on their social media handles. Trying to create viral reels has become so common these days that people are willing to do just about anything. This looks like one such case.

What We Think

Lately, numerous YouTubers have hopped onto the trend of using tug of war showdowns as a means to assess and compare different motorcycle models. However, it’s vital to recognize that relying solely on these competitions as a basis for evaluating bikes may not be the most prudent approach. The cause for concern stems from the fact that tug of war contests have the potential to inflict lasting damage on motorcycles, as most bikes aren’t engineered for such strenuous use. Consequently, we strongly advise against anyone attempting these activities with their own motorcycles. In reality, the majority of riders do not subject their motorcycles to such extreme conditions due to safety concerns and the potential harm they could inflict on their vehicles.
