Maruti Grand Vitara Maintenance Costs

Maruti Grand Vitara Maintenance Costs

Grand Vitara is Maruti’s answer to the segment heavyweights like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos

In this post, I am discussing the experience about the maintenance costs of a Maruti Grand Vitara owner. Grand Vitara is a popular mid-size SUV. It has been doing great on the sales charts, much like other Maruti cars. However, in this segment, the Creta and Seltos have been immensely successful. Hence, it was only possible for a car maker like Maruti Suzuki to challenge that dominance with a worthy rival like the Grand Vitara. Note that the largest car marque in the country offers it in multiple powertrain options including CNG.

Maruti Grand Vitara Reveals Maintenance Costs

The specifics of this case stem from arunpanwarx on Instagram. The visuals capture the owner of the SUV. He confirms that he has driven this CNG model a whopping 80,000 km in just 1 year. This is quite astonishing! However, the more important part is that the maintenance costs have been unusually low. He says that he didn’t even change the tyres or the brake pads. To be honest, this is a bit too much to digest. I am not sure how anyone can drive this much in a year and doesn’t even need a new brake pad or tyre.

In any case, he claims that he has all the service receipts which can prove there have been no repairs or part replacements. He admits that the SUV goes for a regular service which costs around Rs 7,000-8,000. Also, he doesn’t even visit the dealership. The service team personnel pick up the SUV from his home and deliver it back after the service. If all this information is actual, it is quite impressive. The condition of the vehicle is great and the owner is evidently satisfied with the ownership experience.

My View

I can’t confirm or deny the claims of this owner. Still, it is impressive to see such great ownership experience. We know that people have had incredible experiences with Maruti Suzuki cars over the years. That is the reason which makes it the biggest car company in India. We know that the service costs are low, the availability of spare parts is aplenty and the cars boast segment-first mileage figures. All in all, these factors are responsible for the massive success of Maruti cars in India.
