The prominent actor loves to splurge on ostentatious automobiles, and this is the latest example of that
Famous actor Ranveer Singh recently got his hands on India’s first GMC Hummer EV. Hummer holds an iconic status in many markets across the globe. It was one of the most desirable SUVs in the 1990s and 2000s. In fact, many celebrities in India also opted for it at the time. However, the bulky SUV was discontinued in 2010. After a hiatus of 10 years, the American car marque brought back the Hummer in an electric avatar. But no one has reportedly purchased it in India so far.

This post stems from CS 12 VLOGS on YouTube. The visuals capture a detailed instance of the brand new GMC Hummer EV being transported on the back of a flatbed truck in Mumbai. The video showcases Ranveer Singh’s Mercedes Maybach GLS600 too. In the latter part of the video, the visuals claim that Ranveer Singh was driving it around.

Now, the GMC Hummer EV is one of the most premium SUVs around. It carries the DNA of the older Hummers, which makes the occupants feel like they are sitting inside a house. Some of the major highlights inside the cabin include a colossal 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, GMC Super Cruise, a 13.4-inch infotainment display, automatic climate control, ventilated seats and more. Clearly, there are all the bells and whistles to pamper the users.
In terms of powertrains, the GMC Hummer EV carries a ginormous 178 kWh battery pack, which has a claimed range of 505 km. Such a huge battery is needed to propel the gigantic SUV around. There are multiple avatars on offer to cater to the needs of all kinds of buyers. In the most aggressive settings, it produces a mammoth 830 hp of peak power. This allows an acceleration time for 0 to 100 km/h of just 3.5 seconds. The EV is famous for its hardcore off-roading features, including the “Crab Walk”, allowing sideways movement. It is still unclear how much Ranveer had to pay for it.
