Music maestro Shankar Mahadevan has recently got his hands on the MG M9 electric MPV. He is one of the biggest names in the Indian music industry. In fact, many of you might know him as a part of the famous music trio – Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. They have been giving music in Indian films for decades now. Over the years, he has established himself as an eminent name in the industry and bagged tons of accolades along the way. For now, let us take a look at the details of his latest acquisition.
Shankar Mahadevan Acquires MG M9 Electric MPV
The official press release from MG mentions that Shankar Mahadevan is the latest owner of the M9 electric MPV. A few months ago, we saw the veteran actor Hema Malini taking delivery of the same car. She became the first known star to add this MPV to her collection. The latest image captures Shankar Mahadevan along with his family members taking delivery of the car. Needless to mention, the family looks elated to add this new-age MPV to their garage. Despite being the flagship MPV from MG in India, not many superstars have opted for this in contrast to the familiar German rivals.

Powering the large EV is a colossal 90 kWh NMC battery pack, which powers an electric motor to generate a decent 245 PS and 350 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. As per MIDC, the claimed range is 548 km on a single charge. Using a DC fast charger, the battery goes from 30% to 80% in a matter of 30 minutes. Note that there is a single fully-loaded trim on offer for a price tag of Rs 69.90 lakh, ex-showroom. It will be interesting to see how many more Indian influential personalities opt for this car going forward.
