Tata Curvv vs Nexon Price

It would be interesting to see how the Tata Curvv will cost in comparison to the Nexon. The Indian auto giant revealed the Curvv at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024 in diesel guise. This means that we will get the diesel and perhaps the electric version before the turbo petrol. It In the ICE configuration, it will rival the mighty Hyundai Creta in our market. Note that it belongs to the mid-size SUV segment. Hence, Tata Motors will position it between the Nexon and Harrier. That also leaves us with some idea of what the pricing could be.

The Nexon, in diesel version, starts at Rs 11 lakh, ex-showroom. Therefore, we can expect the Curvv to have a starting price of around Rs 13 lakh, ex-showroom. This is a common difference between a compact SUV and a mid-size SUV. This also makes it around Rs 2.4 lakh cheaper than the Harrier which starts at Rs 15.4 lakh, ex-showroom. Author’s Note

Tata Motors is the leader when it comes to electric cars in India. It already has over 80% of market share in this space. It has relied on the success of its ICE models, which it then converted into EVs. The only exception is the newest entrant into its EV portfolio, the Punch EV. It bears a new acti.ev platform. Similarly, the Curvv EV will have a dedicated EV platform. But it will also be offered in petrol and diesel versions. That will make it one of the few cars in the country to offer so many powertrain options. Note that the Nexon is one such EV. We will get to know about further details in due course of time.
