The Tata Harrier Facelift is said to come with a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine. It will borrow design elements from the EV concept shown at the 2023 Indian Auto Expo.

The Tata Harrier is among the most popular mid-size SUVs in the Indian market. It has received several new features in the recent past. Now, Tata Motors is all set to launch an updated Harrier. It is expected to come with the new 1.5 L TGDi petrol engine (shown at the 2023 Delhi Auto Expo). Tata Harrier Facelift to Offer Petrol Option

The Tata Harrier Facelift will be powered by a four-cylinder turbo petrol engine with a power output of 170 bhp at 5,000 rpm and a peak torque of 280 Nm at 2,000 – 3,500 rpm. It has features like dual cam phasing, a variable oil pump, and an integrated exhaust manifold in the cylinder head. The new petrol engine has a water-cooled variable geometry turbocharger, redesigned valve trains, and timing chains. Additionally, the aluminum design boosts efficiency and economy.

The company might also use this engine in the upcoming mid-size Tata Curvv, the revamped Safari, and the 2025-slated ICE version of the Tata Sierra. However, the Tata Harrier Facelift will also get a 2.0L turbo diesel engine (seen on the seven-seater Safari) with 6-speed manual and automated transmission options. It offers a power output of 168 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The updated diesel engine complies with the more stringent BS6 Phase II pollution requirements.
