Tata Nexon AMT likely to launch in XTA and XTA+ trim levels. Bookings open at select dealerships
Tata Motors, the popular Indian passenger car, and commercial vehicle manufacturer has put the upcoming Nexon AMT at the Auto Expo 2018. The Tata Nexon AMT launch is expected to happen in April this year. The new model will come in both petrol and Diesel variants, in April this year. Also, there are good chances that the new AMT model will command a price premium of Rs 50,000 over the corresponding manual transmission variants. Other than then the introduction of the new transmission, there won’t be any change in the specifications and features on offer. Ahead of the launch, select Tata Motors dealerships have started taking bookings of this compact SUV.

While Tata Motors is yet to declare the official launch date of the AMT versions, it is highly likely that the new variants will launch in April this year. Expected to launch in the XTA and XTA+ trims, the new models should command a price premium of upto Rs 50,000 over the corresponding manual transmission trims.

Other than the introduction of the AMT, there won’t be any change in the specifications. The new car will launch in both Petrol and Diesel variants. Both these engines are turbocharged units and output a maximum power of 108 BHP. While the petrol motor outputs a maximum torque of 170 Nm, the Diesel engine outputs 260 Nm. The motors will come mated to a 6-speed AMT. This compact SUV offers multiple drive modes – City, Economy, Sport.
Tata Nexon AMT Bookings
Bookings for the Tata Nexon AMT are open at select Tata Motors dealerships. Booking amount is specified at INR 11,000. With the bookings open, it is likely that Nexon AMT will launch within a short period of time.
