Tata Nexon Washes Away in Rain

This video has been uploaded by Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel keeps featuring content around the performances of popular cars during unfortunate incidents, as well as road safety. This time around, a terrifying case emerges from Arunachal Pradesh. The visuals capture a Tata Nexon and a Mahindra pickup on a blocked highway at Ribi Korong area on Pasighat-Yingkiong road in Arunachal. The driver of the Nexon is forcefully trying to go past an area which is already affected by a huge landslide. In fact, the main road is barely visible.

As he tries to drive, suddenly, a flash flood comes from the mountain and threatens to wash away the compact SUV. While the Mahindra pick-up driver immediately reverses, Nexon was not so lucky. One passenger is seen coming out of the car and running to safety just in the nick of time. However, the rain takes away the compact SUV with people in it a few feet on the rubble. Thankfully, the video captures two people emerging out of the vehicle safe and sound. Also, it looks like the SUV has not suffered damage either because the flow of the water was not too harsh.

What We Think

Driving on mountainous roads during rain is never a good idea. Landslides are common phenomena during such extreme weather conditions. That is why we recommend you go out in such conditions only in case of emergencies. This video should serve as a perfect lesson to a whole lot of people who take such things for granted. Nature can turn violent, particularly in hilly areas, in no time. In fact, we have seen a lot of such videos in this month alone where people didn’t even get a chance to blink before everything was washed out due to sudden cloudbursts or landslides. Make sure to be responsible drivers and take care of your own safety and the safety of others.
