tata punch splits two massive crash

Overspeeding is the main cause of most car crashes and this is the latest example of that.

A Tata Punch was involved in a high-speed accident at 120 km/h due to a tyre burst. Punch is a 5-star safety-rated car at the Global NCAP. That is one of the many reasons why it has become so successful and popular among the masses. It consistently features on the list of the top 10 highest-selling cars in India on a monthly basis. In fact, its build quality has been put to the test in many real-life incidents and the micro SUV has performed decently well. However, crossing the speed limit could be an invitation to trouble. Here are the details.

The video has been uploaded by Nikhil Rana on YouTube. This channel keeps featuring content around the performances of popular cars during unfortunate scenarios and road safety. This time around, a case has emerged from Parbhani district in Maharashtra. As per the information shared in the video, two people were travelling in the Tata Punch on the road at around 120 km/h. However, there was a sudden tyre burst which led to the driver losing complete control of the micro SUV. It ended up hitting a tree on the side of the road with massive force.

Unfortunately, the impact was so brutal that both people lost their lives on the spot. Looking at the condition of the Tata Punch reveals the extent of damage to the body. The entire side section is destroyed and the roof and side pillars have collapsed completely which allowed the impact inside the cabin. All the other components are deformed as well. It is also mentioned in the video that the road was not a part of the large highway but was a small road where 120 km/h is way too high in the first place.

What We Think

Each year, we get to know about thousands of lives being lost on our roads. As is the case with this mishap involving the Tata Punch, most of these are because of disregarding traffic regulations. Among these, overspeeding is the most common reason for crashes. Hence, we urge our readers to never drive above the speed limit. Speed limits are decided for safety purposes. We also advise our readers to discourage overspeeding around you and report people to the authorities who are found flouting these traffic rules so that proper action can be taken against them. Let us pledge to be responsible drivers and promote road safety.
