New Generation Tata Safari Storme Reborn

New Generation Tata Safari Storme Reborn Realistic Rendering

It is simply unbelievable what modern digital automobile designers are able to achieve with their virtual iterations.

Here is a cool Tata Safari Storme Classic edition in the digital realm. Safari has been an iconic product in our market for decades. Its latest version is based on the JLR D8 OmegaArc platform of the Harrier SUV. Originally launched in January 2012, the Safari Storme was based on the Tata X2 platform with stronger hydro-formed chassis sections compared to the previous-gen model. It was manufactured for the Indian army in 2016 and became a successor to the Maruti Gypsy.

This life-like iteration is created by Bimble Designs on YouTube. The visuals are developed in a manner where it looks like this digitally modified rendition is stationed at an Auto Expo. For people with a keen eye, the mildly reworked front end with new LED headlights are evident, the front grille has gone bolder, the bumper has been redesigned to make the SUV look more sturdy, while the overall stance due to the upright bonnet and tall boy silhouette is retained from the Safari Storme of the past. There is even a rugged skid plate at the front.

Moving on to the sides exposes the familiar alloy wheel design that we have come to appreciate in the current-gen version of the Safari. The fenders are reminiscent of the Safari Storme and so are the practical side steps used for enhanced ingress and egress characteristics. Finally, the tail section is almost exactly like the regular version with compact vertical taillamps and a chunky chrome slab on the boot lid with Tata lettering.

Specs

There have been reports suggesting that the 2.2-litre Dicor engine might make a comeback. The last-gen Dicor engine was created by the Austrian company AVL. However, if that engine makes a comeback, it will need to be BS6 compliant which means that it will have to feature a few modifications. We will have to wait a bit longer to know if Tata Motors intend to bring back this engine with the upcoming Harrier/Safari facelift.
