Tata Altroz Owner Alleges Major Issues

Tata Altroz is a prominent premium hatchback which rivals the likes of the Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20 in our market.

In a rather shocking instance, a Tata Tiago owner alleges facing multiple worrying issues with his hatchback. Tiago is a popular product in Tata’s portfolio. It boasts a segment-leading 4-star safety rating at the Global NCAP. In addition to that, it looks handsome, has a good ride quality and options of multiple powertrains to cater to all kinds of car buyers. However, there could be issues in some cases, which is something that is seen on almost all mass produced cars. The said owner, though, claims to be facing some extraordinary issues. Let us take a look at the details of this anomaly.

Tata Tiago Owner Alleges Major Issues

This post comes from ashishshokeen9 on Instagram. The caption reads, “Khud Tata ki Car lo pahle TATA FANBOIS. This Tata Tiago i-CNG is just 1 year old and facing lot of issues which are not resolved by Tata Service center and we have to visit them regularly.” The owner mentions that the radiator of the car remains on long after the vehicle has been switched off. He even shows that he has the key in his hand and the vehicle is off. But the radiator fan is still on. Then there are issues with the electronics including the AC not working.

The switches of parking lights, the lights on the centre console, the power socket, etc don’t work. He even mentions that this is not the issue of the battery. In fact, he recently got the battery replaced by Tata Motors. That makes things quite intriguing indeed. With so many issues in just one year, he had to visit the service centre 80 times. Now, that might be an exaggeration, but we understand his frustration. Anyone would be irritated and disappointed if they had to spend so many hours just to get a brand-new car fixed. What’s worse is the fact that there is still no concrete solution in sight.

What We Think

We would refrain from commenting on this since we don’t have the full picture. Also, this is just one side of the story. Hence, we can’t be sure of the claims of this Tiago owner. But there must be a lot more than covered in this short video clip. In any case, we would like to see Tata Motors take up this issue and fix it at the earliest. We hope that the exact reason for this surfaces and the service staff fixes it so that the customer doesn’t have to go through such a difficult time. We shall keep an eye out for further developments in this case.
