The Toyota Fortuner and Legender are available with attractive discount offers currently. Fortuner is the most successful 7-seat off-roading SUV in the country. I understand that this might not sound like a huge amount in regard to the actual price of the SUV. However, the fact that the Japanese carmaker is offering any offer on this SUV is strange. It is always in demand and no additional motivation is needed to push people to buy it. Perhaps there is enough inventory at the moment. Hence, dealers are showering such benefits to make sales.

Note that the Legender is the specific variant of the Toyota Fortuner. The Fortuner derives power from either a 2.7-litre petrol or a 2.8-litre turbo diesel. In the petrol guise, the SUV makes 164 hp and 245 Nm, while in the diesel version, it generates a respectable 201 hp and 420 Nm (500 Nm with automatic transmission) of peak power and torque, respectively. The prices range from Rs 33.43 lakh to Rs 51.44 lakh, ex-showroom.

Offering benefits on cars generally points to the fact that the carmakers are trying excessively to spur demand. Also, at times, there is just a lot of stock unsold at some locations. That is also when dealers want to get rid of that inventory. To achieve that, there are attractive benefits when can temp a lot of fence-sitters. We just have to see if these latest offers have the same impact on the customers or not.
