List of Maruti cars at Auto Expo 2016
The Indian automotive industry’s biggest event is here and, as always, massive launches from some of the biggest names in the industry have taken place at this bi-annual event. Maruti Suzuki, the undisputed leader of four wheelers in India, has showcased few new models including the production-spec version of their highly anticipated compact SUV. Also, on display will be other products including their current line-up of cars and concepts which will form the basis of future vehicles in India. Maruti Vitara Brezza Compact SUV (YBA)
Four years and two auto expos later, Maruti has finally launched the production spec YBA compact SUV that will take on the likes of the Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra TUV300. Christened as the new Maruti Vitara Brezza, Design and Features details of the new model include projector headlamps, bumper mounted front turn indicators, SmartPlay infotainment system, black interiors, etc. Powering the Vitara Brezza is a DDiS 200 Turbo-Diesel motor that belts out 566 kw-200 Nm. This compact SUV enjoys a ground clearance of 198 mm.
Maruti says that its new Vitara Brezza is ‘bold, sporty and masculine’. Highlights of its exterior design will be “16” alloys wheels nested in distinct squarish wheel arches, bold front fascia and definitive, and dynamic side profile.”

Maruti Ignis Concept
The Suzuki Ignis is a micro SUV that was unveiled quite recently at the Tokyo Motor Show and the good news is that Maruti will bring it to India. Although the launch will take place only during the festive season this year, the Ignis Concept is on display at the Auto Expo in February. The India-spec Ignis is expected to come with a 1.0-litre petrol engine borrowed from the Celerio and will compete with the upcoming Mahindra KUV100.

Maruti Baleno RS
Another new model among the Maruti cars at Auto Expo 2016 will be the Baleno RS Concept. The new Baleno RS is basically a sportier version of the newly launched Maruti Baleno hatchback and gets many styling and performance tweaks to infuse some sportiness with this family hatchback. Powering the Baleno RS is an all-new 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine that delivers at least 110 bhp. It maybe noted that Suzuki has already showcased this motor at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015. Maruti will launch the Baleno RS through the Nexa channel during the 2016 Festive Season.

S-Cross Special Edition
A special edition of Maruti’s premium crossover, the S-Cross, is the last of the new products that are sold through the Nexa sales channel. The new S-CROSS Limited Edition comes new features like chrome back door garnish, rear-end spoiler in black paint finish, sporty pedal pad, ORVM garnish in matt black finish, foot well lamp with blue light (ambient light),interior styling kit, etc.
