The popular mid-size sedan incorporates a few updates in terms of design, technology, safety and comfort
The updated Hyundai Verna has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Verna is a famed moniker in the Indian market. It has been among the most successful names in the mid-size sedan space for many years now. This category has seen many compelling propositions in the last few years. These include the likes of the Honda City, VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia. Note that this is not a facelift or a new-gen model, but a simple updated iteration of the existing Verna. Still, here are all the new aspects.
Updated Hyundai Verna – Exterior Styling and Price
On the outside, the updated Verna boasts a sharper, bolder and dynamic stance. The main highlights incorporate black chrome radiator grille, dual LED projector headlamps, bold front and rear bumpers, 16-inch diamond cut alloys and a new paint colour – Classy Blue. In my view, Hyundai continues to demonstrate how incremental updates can keep a product fresh in a fiercely competitive segment. The Verna may belong to a shrinking sedan category, but Hyundai’s strategy of packing it with segment-first tech and strong turbo performance ensures it still appeals to enthusiasts and premium sedan buyers. In the Indian market, where SUVs dominate headlines, the Verna remains one of the few sedans that consistently pushes the envelope on features and value.
