Harley Davidson Limited Edition Street 750

To commemorate 10 years in India, Harley Davidson has launched the Limited Edition Street 750 and also, it is now HD’s first BS-6 compliant motorcycle.

Harley Davidson has launched a new Limited Edition Street 750, to commemorate manufacturer’s 10 years of operation in India. Only 300 exclusive units of the edition will be available for a price of Rs 5.47 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

The Harley Davidson Limited Edition Street 750 is just Rs 13,000 costlier than the regular variant. It gets India-inspired graphics over the body, like ‘Harley Davidson India 10 years’ inscription with a new design for the fuel tank. The same type of design is seen on the rear fender as well.

Also, this is Harley Davidson’s first BS-6 compliant motorcycle and is also the first compliant premium motorcycle in India. Mechanically the bike remains the same as the regular variant.

Street 750 uses a 749cc V-Twin liquid-cooled engine, that produces 51 BHP at 8000 RPM and 60 Nm of torque at 3750 RPM, with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike carries a staggering weight of 226 kilograms.

For suspension, it uses telescopic forks at the front and specially tuned dual-shock absorbers at the back. Single disc brakes at both the ends with dual-channel ABS handling the braking duties of the bike.

The Street 750 is a low-slung American style cruiser, with a low seat height of 720mm. Since it is a retro-styled motorcycle, it does not get most of the modern technology but gets powerful round-shaped headlamps, an analogue instrument console, alloy wheels and high-raised handlebar.

Street 750 is Harley Davidson’s most popular motorcycle in India and manages a sales figure of around 100 units per month. The same bike was launched in India first in 2009 and is still popular in the market.

Meanwhile, at the launch of the limited edition, Harley Davidson also unveiled the LiveWire electric motorcycle. The electric cruiser is available in the USA, where it is priced for around Rs 21 Lakhs. We would not be getting the same in India, anytime soon.
