MG ZS EV is now available in six cities more taking the total count up to 11 cities. The sales in new cities have already begun.

MG launched the ZS EV last year and it was the second electric SUV of India. Till now, it was only available in five metro cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. Now, MG has decided to expand its reach to six more cities including Surat, Cochin, Pune, Jaipur, Chennai and Chandigarh.

In the new cities, the ZS EV has already started hitting the showrooms in these cities. The manufacturer is slowly setting up new charging stations at select dealerships. With these 50 kW charging stations, you can charge your ZS EV from 0 to 80% in just 50 minutes and by paying a nominal fee.

The bookings have also commenced in these cities and you can test drive it right now. MG has also started online booking services and you can also get your new Hector or ZS EV delivered at your doorstep. At dealerships, proper social distancing norms are being followed and regular sanitization is also done.

The ZS EV gets a 44.5 kWh electric motor with a lithium ion battery pack that produces 143 PS and 353 Nm of peak torque. The SUV can go up to a range of 340 kms, as claimed. It gets three levels of regenerative braking that will increase the driving range by 10-20%. In our testing, we could see an real-world range of nearly 280 kilometres.

A normal wall charger comes along with the ZS EV which takes six to eight hours for a full charge. It also gets a portable 3-pin charging socket which takes 15-16 hours to fully charge the EV. It can sprint from 0-100 km/hr in just 8.5 seconds flat. The top speed achievable has been limited up to 140 km/hr.
