Skoda Fabia facelifted edition uncovered at the Geneva Motor Show 2010 earlier this year is soon to make its entry in Indian auto market in the month of October 2010. This premium hatchback has never done magical sales numbers in India because of its pricing, but the kind of features and quality it offers, it seems that it has been designed for a smaller premium segment of customers when it comes to Indian buyers.
The facelifted version will not only have cosmetic uplifts but also a new powerhouse, the sporty and more powerful and efficient diesel engine from parent Volkswagen. The Volkswagen 1.2 Litre CRDI Diesel engine which powers the Volkswagen Polo Diesel will power the Skoda Fabia facelifted edition to be launched in India.
The new 1.2 Litre engine not only gives more power (74 BHP) when compared to the old 1.4 Litre TDI diesel engine of Fabia, but also is more fuel efficient and low on displacement with cleaner emissions.
