LML once used to be the ultimate choice for scooter lovers who wanted to own a product different and powerful enough from the conventional Bajaj two-wheelers. The overwhelming response from the Indian customers made it as popular as no other brand and what came its way is called as instant success.
The company ended its Joint venture with Piaggio in 1999 and then entered motorcycle production. The designs and technology had no match then, but due to over-spending on such projects the company faced a lot of financial constraints. In 2009 it jumped back into the bi-wheeler market and started producing LML Vespa 150 NV.
We reported on 20th June 2011 about the launch of LML Select four stroke model. We guess the comeback from the brand has been initiated as besides the newly launched Select four other models are also on the checklist and are expected to be launched before the end of the year 2011. LML Star 200 4T is another product from the same and is believed to hit the India shores soon.
Rumor has it, the Star 200 could be considered by the brand as its flagship model for our very own market. As the images present, the scooter is an upmarket one and all class leading features are expected with it. Going with the name, the scooter is powered by a 200 CC engine coupled to a 4 speed hand shift gearbox.
The engine produces a peak power of 11.5 BHP and 14.5 Nm of peak torque. Believing in the claims made by the manufacturer, the scooter can go 50 kilometers in a litre of petrol which is quite impressive for a 200 CC machine. So far the product seems to be good but the wait is still there for the brand to launch it in India.
