In some latest news, the iconic 1970 Ford Mustang was spotted vibrating the Himalayas of Leh Ladakh with its thunderous V8. Now spotting the vintage Mustang in India in itself is a huge deal. Even though these are legendary automobiles which almost everyone must’ve heard about, it is immensely rare to find one in India. Sure, you will come across these in the U.S. But anywhere else in this world, it is next to impossible. That is what makes this unique spotting extremely epic. Here are the details.
1970 Ford Mustang in Leh Ladakh
The details of this post stem from classiccaradventures70 on Instagram. The visuals capture the roaring sound of the iconic V8 engine under the long bonnet of this yellow 1970 Ford Mustang. I must admit it is quite a sight to watch one of the most poignant vehicles of all time plying on some of the highest roads on the planet. Leh Ladakh is the most scenic and renowned road trip in India. We often see groups of bikers or off-roading enthusiasts take this circuit to quench their thirst for adventure. In fact, I believe such a distinct vehicle in these settings makes for an ideal combination.
Browsing this Instagram handle, I came across multiple videos of the yellow Mustang at various points on this circuit. The occupants are having a nice time. In fact, this handle has even uploaded content about a vintage Rolls Royce and other cars from that era. Clearly, these are hardcore automobile aficionados who love vehicles from the era gone by. Somehow, they have got their hands on these rare beauties from the 1970s and often take them to the popular tourist destinations in the Himalayas. In any case, these cars are reminiscent of a time which formed the basis of where we are today.
Our View
The excitement after watching something so rare is hard to contain. It is a shame that I am getting to experience this instance via a screen. But I also understand that this is not something that one can just come across any time they step outside their homes. Therefore, I am glad that I was able to cover this story. I shall keep an eye out for more such cases in the future.
