2014 Maruti Swift new model from Maruti Suzuki India comes with a list of new features. Maruti has retained the use of the same engines lineup, but the new models are tuned for better mileage and economy, so they are now 10% more frugal compared to before. The new tune on the older engines now deliver a mileage of 20.4 KMPL on petrol variants and 25.2 KMPL on diesel variant as per ARAI test numbers. 1. Height Adjustable Driver Seat
Driver seat on the 2014 new Maruti Swift now comes with height adjustment. This is a very welcome feature and helps set a very comfrotable driving position for the drivers for different heights. It makes the driving postureย more relaxed and helps drive more confidently.
2. Push Button Start System
The top of the line variants of 2014 new swift now come with a push button start system, which is easily found in cars like Hyundai i20 and Nissan Micra but was missing from Swift earlier.
3. Reverse Parking Sensors
Withย ever tight parking spaces and very low visibility from rear windshield of the Swift, a reverse parking sensor at on the 2014 New Maruti Swift is a welcome addition. It will help park the car with much more ease.
4. Electrically Foldable And Adjustable Outside Rear View Mirrors
The outside rear view mirrors on the top end 2014 Maruti Swift are not only electrically adjustable, but also they are electrically foldable mirrors. This bring extra comfort and ease of folding the mirrors automatically when you park and open them automatically when you start the car.
5. Audio System With 4 Speakers
The mid-end and top-end V and Z trims get new audio system which comes integrated with the car. The music system also gets 4 speakers, Aux-input, USB pen drive support and many such useful features built-in on the 2014 Maruti Swift.
6. More Mileage
The 1.2 litre VVT petrol engine and 1.3 litre multi-jet DDiS diesel engine on the new 2014 Swift have been re-tuned to deliver better mileage. The petrol engine now deliver a mileage of 20.4 Km per litre of petrol and the diesel engine deliver a whooping 25.2 Km per litre of diesel. This makes the new 2014 Swift even more fuel efficient.
7. New Colour Options On 2014 Swift
New 2014 Maruti Swift offers two new body coloursย which includes:ย Solid fire Red and Pearl mysterious Violet.
8. Intelligent Keyless Entry
With intelligent keyless entry, if you have the key of the car in your pocket and you stand next to the car, you can click on the black knob on the door handle of the car and it will unlock. When you get inside the car and the key is detected by the car, you can hit on the push button start and it will start the car. So with the new 2014 Maruti Swift, you can either keep the key in your pocket or purse or bag and need notย take it out to unlock and startย the car. This intelligent keyless entry system is usually found on more expensive cars. In this segment, the Hyundai Elite i20 and Nissan Micra are two cars with this feature.
9. DRL Look-alike Silverย Inserts
Maruti Suzuki has not provided the DRLs on the new 2014 Swift, rather took an interesting approach by putting in silver inserts around the fog lamps to give it a look-alike feel of DRLs. This is a very clever move, but it does give some aesthetic appeal at not so major cost to the new Swift.
10. Bluetooth Phone Controls On Steering Wheel
The central infotainment system gets Bluetooth support and pairs with phones over Bluetooth. The controls for the same have been provided on the steering wheel for hands free operation of the phone while driving.
