BMW officially launched the new 3 Series GT in India on October 19. Earlier this year, after the Auto Expo in February, BMW had launched the 3 Series Facelift, the X1 and the new 7 Series sedan in India. Along with the launch of the 3 Series GT facelift, BMW India also inaugurated a state of the art after sales service facility in Pune.

|2017 BMW 3 Series GT Luxury Line||Rs. 46.50 lakh|
BMW will sell the 3 Series GT in two diesel trims priced at Rs. 43.30 lakh and 46.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The price of the 2017 MY 3 Series GT witnesses a small increase over the older model. Also, BMW has added a new 330i petrol variant to the lineup priced at Rs. 47.5 lakh. In terms of positioning, the price of the BMW 3 Series GT falls between the 3 Series sedan and the 5 Series sedan. For now, the 3 GT has no real rivals here in India.

|Boot Space||520 litres|
|Fuel Tank Capacity||57 L|
|Engine Type/ Displacement||2.0 L Diesel|
|Transmission (Gearbox)||8-speed Automatic|
The 3 Series GT facelift continues with the 2.0 L Diesel engine. This 4 cylinder unit churns out a maximum power of 190 PS and a peak torque of 400 Nm. An 8-speed automatic gearbox will be the only transmission on offer. BMW India recently introduced petrol variants of the 3-Series and 5-Series. The new 3 Series GT features a 330i petrol variant powered by a 2.0 L engine that puts out 252 PS and 350 NM.
The changes made to the exterior design of the 2017 MY 3 Series GT are minimal. They are in line with BMW’s current design language and similar to what we have already seen on the 3 Series facelift. Up front, the headlamps are now full LED units with LED daytime running lights. The front end of the GT facelift also features a new bumper. At the back, the rear bumper has been redesigned and it gets tail lamp detailing similar to what we have seen on the new 3-series. The changes made to the interiors are hard to spot. Much of the dashboard design remains the same, save for a new gear selector and iDrive controller.
Internationally, BMW sells the new 3 Series GT in the M Sport trim as well. Like the 3-Series M Sport, this one also gets a different bumper design, sportier alloys. It does away with chrome appliques and features ‘M’ badging all around. The interior features faux carbon fibre trim along with a M Sport steering wheel. This variant is not available in India.
