2018 Emflux One, the Fastest Electric Bike in India, Accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 3 seconds!

Come 2018 Auto Expo the Bangalore based startup Emflux Motors is all set to unveil India’s first electric sports bike. The 2018 Emflux One will be indigenously manufactured in the nation. With the major auto manufacturers shifting focus towards the electric or hybrid segment and making huge investments in their development, the shift to electric seems inevitable now. Emflux Motors wants to capitalise exactly on this by launching their all-electric performance two-wheelers that will be manufactured in India.

Usually, we skip the introduction altogether. The fossil fuel run vehicles have been employing basically the same technology to convert fuel to energy. The 2018 Emflux One is an electric performance bike and India has never seen or heard of before. The electric bike features the best of technology and parts sourced from leading manufacturers like Ohlins, Brembo, Continental etc. The company aims at shifting the focus towards the clean and green fuel of the future. Emflux also aims at building an infrastructure for its future model’s mass acceptance.

2018 Emflux One, Fastest Electric Bike in India – Specifications

the upcoming 2018 Emflux One features a liquid-cooled AC induction motor that derives its power from a Samsung derived Lithium-ion 9.7 kWh battery. The battery itself can be charged up to 80% in just 30 minutes and allows the rider to enjoy a range of up to 200 km on a full charge. The power output is similar to that of a Ninja 650 while the torque output exceeds that of the Triumph Tiger. The company officials claim the power output at 80 bhp and 84 Nm of torque.

The 2018 Emflux One employs a steel trellis frame to keep the weight in check while providing optimum rigidity. The rear looks neater with a single-sided swingarm. The suspension components are sourced from Ohlins while Brembo provided the brakes that include regenerative braking. Continental sourced dual-channel ABS comes as standard.

The upcoming 2018 Emflux One aims at being a futuristic product, therefore, has to be laden with tech to the brim. The bike features a 7″ TFT touch screen as the instrument cluster. The screen offers various connectivity options with your mobile phone as well as other Emflux One(s) for inter-bike connectivity. The bike also features built-in GPS navigation, real-time diagnostics and over the air auto updates. The battery is good for at least 1000 quick charges with retaining 80% charge over 5 years of time.

2018 Emflux One – Launch, Price and Availability

Bangalore based tech company Emflux will unveil the One at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo with sales starting from the first quarter of 2019. The company will be opening up exclusive dealerships in Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi and will invite prospective customers for a ride on an invitation basis. Post-launch, purchases will also be made on the company’s website via digital payment. We expect the company to price the electric bike between INR 5 to 6 lakh as the company intends to sell it in a limited quantity of 199 units only.

The 2018 Emflux One will be offered with a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty. The service, as well as breakdowns, will be taken care of at the customer’s location itself at the cost of the company. The company is guaranteeing at least 80 perfect of the original battery capacity after 5 years of use.
