Honda Car India is all set to launch the next-generation Amaze in India next week. The 2018 iteration of this compact sedan was one of the major centre-of-attraction at the Auto Expo this year. With this generation update, the Amaze comes with an all-new exterior design. And, in addition to this, it also comes with a completely redesigned cabin layout. It even comes with a brand new platform which is lighter and stronger than before. The only similarity between theย new Amaze and the old one is the engine specifications.
The compact sedan continues to come with the same 1.2-litre petrol engine. And the diesel derivative still gets the same 1.5-litre i-DTEC oil-burner. Both the engines come as standard with a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, with this 2018 iteration, Honda has played a masterstroke. As a first in the segment, the Amaze comes with a CVT automatic gearbox in both the petrol as well as the diesel derivatives.

The last generation of the Honda Amaze lacked in terms of its onboard equipment list. This time, however, Honda has made sure that this is not the case. Top-spec trims come with features likes automatic climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system, reverse parking camera with sensors, engine push start-stop, key-less entry and more.
