The buzz around the upcoming 2018 Hyundai Santro is increasing day by day. As the preview date is nearing, the Santro is all over the news. Today, we get fresh details of the variants, features, dimensions and mileage figures of the Santro. Well with the fresh details, just the exact feature list, prices, and official photos are left to be seen. The tall-boy hatchback is going to launch on 23rd October. According to our sources, the base variant of Santro will be priced at Rs 2.99 Lakhs.

The hatchback measures 3610 mm long, 1645 mm wide and 1560 mm tall. It comes with aย wheelbase of 2400 mm and a ground clearance of 160 mm. The hatchback is wider than Kwid and Celerio, but Santro is of the same height as the Celerio. The wheelbase figures are identical to Tiago but shorter than Kwid and Celerio.

The Santro will come with the 1.1 Litre Epilson petrol engine. This engine was also used in the first generation i10 and the original Santro. The engine produces 68 BHP of power and 99 Nm of torque. It could come with a 5-speed MT with an optional 5-speed automatic unit.

The feature list details are not out yet. However, we expect dual-airbags, ABS and reverse parking sensors to be standard across all variants. The top-spec feature might get a touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Auto Climate, rear parking camera, and such features onboard.
However, the base variant will come with such features that are available in its competition. You can expect an infotainment system with Bluetooth integration, ABS and front airbags.

As per our sources, the price of Santro will start from Rs. 2.99 Lakhs and might go up till Rs 5 Lakhs. If it launches at this price, the Santro will compete against all hatchbacks under Rs 5 Lakhs. Still, the main rivals would include Tata Tiago, Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, and Maruti Wagon R.
