Japanese manufacturer, Isuzu has finally brought in their popular pickup truck, the 2019 D-Max V-Cross in automatic trim. The Z Prestige variant gets the segment-first six-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2019 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is powered by 1.9L Ddi diesel engine and with the new automatic the manufacturer claim that with the new powertrain it will offer distinctive driving on or off-road.
Earlier, the pickup truck was only available with a 2.5-litre diesel engine which got paired to 6-speed manual gearbox. The new automatic trim gets expensive by Rs 3 lakh and now costs at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Furthermore, the new trim is also refined and provides more power than its manual counterpart. It produces a total of 150 bhp with a peak torque of 350 Nm. Isuzu is selling this as a limited edition variant and the engine is still a BS4 compliant.
The 2019 V-Cross gets bi-LED headlamp, chrome finish highlights around fog lamps, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, new shark fin antenna, updated rear chrome bumper, flared wheel arches and gets embedded LED taillamps. Isuzu says that the front fascia is inspired by the ‘Cyborg Orga’.
Coming to the interiors, the pickup truck follows a dual-tone brown and grey colour scheme which comes with perforated leather seats, piano black accents around the cabin, roof-mounted surround speakers, soft touch materials on dashboard and door trims come along with it. Also, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, Aux-in, iPod and DVD, second-row USB charging slot comes as standard on this trim.
The safety features are quite improved with this limited edition automatic trim when compared to the older model. It now gets a total of six-airbags (driver, co-driver, front side and curtain), BOS (Brake Over-ride System) and continues to get ABS with EBD, Speed-sensitive door lock, front passengers seat belt reminder, hill-start assist, hill-descent control are also on the offer as added safety features. It also gets shift-on-fly 4WD drive mode system, chassis frame with iGRIP feature.
The V-Cross now will be available in three trim levels – ‘Standard Grade’ and ‘High Grade (Z)’ and the limited edition ‘Z-Prestige’ variant. The Z-Prestige variant comes in 4 exciting colour options – Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, Pearl White and Cosmic Black, while the other variants will also be available in Obsidian Grey and Titanium Silver.
