It is expected to arrive in July or sooner. The new facelifted avatar will compete with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300 among a slew of other products. The 2022 Maruti Brezza is expected to feature the same overall silhouette as the current-gen model. However, it will come with a refreshed exterior and interior. The new changes include a funky front grille, new LED headlamps with sharp edges, a sculpted fender on the side, chunky wheel arches, blacked-out A, B, and C-pillars, roof rails, an integrated roof spoiler on the back, restyled tailgate, and sleek LED taillamps. On the inside, the upcoming model is expected to feature a large touchscreen infotainment system, a traditional dual-pod instrument cluster, a wireless charger, and a sunroof. The automatic variants will also get paddle shifters.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been one of the best-selling cars in the SUV segment portfolio. The 2022 model is likely to be powered with the same 1.5-liter petrol engine as the current-gen model. This engine outputs 105 hp and 138 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. It can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Maruti might also add the Smart Hybrid Technology for better fuel efficiency. Additionally, several reports also suggested that Maruti is planning to reintroduce the diesel engine with the new Brezza. The redesigned cabin will use a higher quality plastic for the dashboard and cabin layout. Also, the next-gen model will not carry the prefix “Vitara”.
