The iconic Bajaj Pulsar 220F is slated for a relaunch in our market soon. Pulsar is a household name in our market and its versions in various segments ensure that it grabs a considerable market share. However, the Pulsar 220F was discontinued last year as the bigger, Pulsar 250 was launched. It was thought that it would replace the 220 but Bajaj might have other plans. Bajaj Pulsar 220F to Relaunch
Pulsar 220F lent a lot of design cues to the 250 series. In addition to that, there are distinct design elements making it look more modern and appealing. Hence, we can conclude that there will be some changes to the exterior of this relaunched Pulsar 220F as well. In any case, we can expect it to carry sharp looks, sleek headlamps, a compact handlebar, a wind visor, sporty alloy wheels, a muscular fuel tank, a slim tail section with LED taillight and a split-seat setup.

Now, it will be interesting to see what other changes Bajaj decides to make to sweeten the deal further. In terms of technology, the new Pulsar will need to have the OBD2 as standard. OBD refers to On-Board Diagnostics which is essential in all modern automobiles. It helps one to analyse if every component is working fine or not without physical checks. Apart from that, we might witness some aesthetic changes too.

In terms of powertrain, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F will most likely sport the same engine as before. This means that there will be a 220-cc BS6-compliant engine that is good for 20.6 hp @8,500 RPM and 18.5 Nm @7,000 RPM of peak power and torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Also, there is a telescopic front fork and a twin 5-step preload-adjustable gas-charged shock absorber at the rear. The front wheel has a 280 mm disc, while the rear has a 230 mm disc and single-channel ABS. The prices would start from Rs 1,39,686, ex-showroom making it a bit more attractive that the 250 series.
