2025 Mahindra Bolero Facelift Spied Testing

The iconic rugged SUV from the Indian automobile giant is getting a few updates for the model year 2025

The 2025 Mahindra Bolero facelift has been spied testing on public roads. Bolero is an iconic name in the Indian automobile market. It is currently commemorating its 25th anniversary. First launched in 2000, the Bolero has been the go-to SUV for a whole bunch of populace, majorly across the semi-urban and rural regions of our country. It has found multiple applications, including being a passenger carrier, luggage carrier and in some cases, an off-roading SUV. As we move towards the end of 2025, Mahindra has decided to update the Bolero.

The video of the heavily camouflaged SUV has been doing the rounds on the internet. The facelift iteration of the legendary SUV is seen plying on public roads. Overall, the silhouette is very reminiscent of the current-gen model. That is not a bad thing since people love the Bolero as it is. At the front, one can make out through the covering that it carries the vertical slats, along with the new Twin-peak logo. Furthermore, the rugged bumper, upright bonnet and the rectangular headlamps remind us of the Bolero we all know and love.

The visuals even showcase the tail section. We can recognize the familiar demeanour with a bootlid-mounted spare tyre with a sturdy covering, the upright stance, a solid bumper and compact taillamps. On the sides, the boxy appearance remains, along with the flaring wheel arches and what look like tough side steps for easier ingress and egress. Look closely and you will also realize that the alloy wheel design is new too. All in all, Mahindra is carrying on the established, tried and tested design philosophy.

Expected Specs and Features

Although it is still not clear if there will be any changes to the interior and features of the Bolero, we can assume a fairly loaded cabin. The buyers will get all the basic amenities to pamper the occupants. Apart from that, it will most likely continue with the familiar 1.5-litre diesel engine, which produces a decent 75 hp and 210 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. This mill pairs with a 5-speed manual transmission. It will be interesting to see if it also borrows the powertrain from the Bolero Neo. In any case, we will get to know the exact details in the coming weeks.
