May 2025 will experience 4 new cars, which will make their debut in India. The market has been demonstrating decent sales in the last few months. There have been constant new arrivals to keep things fresh. Carmakers are bringing in vehicles across segments, including facelifts, new models, EVs, etc. This indicates a strong demand in the industry. Let us see which cars will arrive this month.
4 New Cars to Debut This Month
Tata Altroz Facelift
Tata Motors has officially released video teasers of the upcoming Tata Altroz. While the overall design will be similar to the existing model, there will be distinct customizations to make it stand apart from the current model. At the front, it gets new LED headlamps, while the tail end now features a connected LED light bar which extends the width of the boot lid. Even on the inside, the Altroz will come equipped with a new digital instrument cluster and infotainment display along with the two-spoke steering wheel. I don’t believe there will be any changes to the powertrain options.
VW Golf GTI
Then we will soon get the iconic VW Golf GTI in India in the coming days. In fact, the pre-bookings have commenced today. It will be a full import and bear a hefty price tag. This is a special model for driving enthusiasts. It will carry a 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol mill, which will generate a whopping 265 hp and 370 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. This will allow a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of a mere 5.9 seconds with a 7-speed DSG transmission. The interior will have amenities like a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro, wireless charging, 7-speaker immersive sound system, Voice Control and more.
MG Windsor PRO
Then we have the MG Windsor PRO on this list of the 4 new cars to debut this month. It will be a top-of-the-line variant of the popular EV. MG shared a teaser of the EV, where it showcased the new features – Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V). These will ensure that the EV can power external electric appliances, as well as charge other EVs. In this manner, the EVs will become more practical and offer a unique capability, especially when the users are outdoors.
Kia Clavis
Finally, Kia will also launch its Clavis in our market in the coming days. The Korean auto giant has teased the soon-to-arrive SUV already. Essentially, it is being touted as the facelift to the existing Carens. However, some reports even say that it will be positioned above the Carens. In any case, we will get the clarity on that only once the Clavis launches. In the teaser visuals, we were able to catch a glimpse of the ADAS amenities on offer. Also, the exterior styling is inspired by the global design language of Kia, which incorporates 7-shaped LED DRLs and tri-pod LED headlamps. It will most likely share the engine options with the Carens.
