Bugatti has partnered with legendary watch maker Jacob & Co to build a watch exclusively for Chiron owners. Its called the Jacob & Co Buggatti Chiron Tourbillon and it features a replica of the W16 engine from the Chiron.
Bugatti has had this tradition of building super exclusive watches to go along with their super exclusive cars. When Bugatii launched the Veyron in 2005, they partnered with luxury watch maker Parmigiani to build a watch called the Type 370. It was an incredibly expensive watch made to compliment the car and was made available only to Bugatti Veyron owners. In fact, the launch of the car was supposed to coincide with the launch of the watch. However, the Veyron was plagued with a lot of problems and its launch was delayed. Consequently, the watch ended up being launched a whole year before the car was launched.
Fast forward 15 years and now Bugatti has the Chiron. Bugatti’s partnership with Parmigiani lasted until 2019 but now, the French car maker has partnered with legendary watch maker Jacob & Co. to build another watch to go with the Chiron. Bugatti has partnered with Jacob & Co. on previous occasion as well for some pretty radical and exclusive watches, such as the Twin Turbo Furious and Epic X Chrono. However, what they have now built for the Chiron is simply out of the world. It’s called the Jacob & Co Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon.
The watch actually comes fitted with a replica of the W16 engine of the Bugatti Chiron. The detailing is simply mind boggling and even the engine movement has been incorporated with the movement of the watch. If you press down on the right-hand crown, the turbos spin, the crankshaft turns, and even the tiny pistons pump. There are 578 individual mechanical components and all of them are placed beneath a massive sapphire crystal, offering a clear view of the masterpiece.

It has taken Jacob & Co one year to make a clean-sheet design to replicate the legendary 1,500bhp W16 engine. The crankshaft is made from a single piece of steel. Further, the entire mechanism is suspended on four shock-absorbers for more car references. Also, since the mechanism is suspended on shock absorbers, it allows free up and own movement of the mechanism inside the casing, giving it a floating effect.

The Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon has a battery life of just 60-hours. Even that is monitored by a fuel-gauge like meter to have further car references. The watch is also fully customizable and you will find many other references to the original Chiron in the watch. The casing is made of black titanium with a rubber strap and a titanium buckle. Any guesses about the price? Well, it costs $280,000 (Rs 2.12 crores) and is only available Chiron owners. But if you are anyway owning a $3 million car (Rs 23 crores), this watch will probably be a casual buy.
