Unfortunate incidents happen on the roads due to various factors reminding us, time and again, to take road safety seriously.
In an unfortunate piece of news, Tania Kakade the step-daughter of Congress Politician, Feroz Khan, succumbed to her injuries in a fatal road accident. The car in which she was riding was a Hyundai i20 and overspeeding is reported to be the cause of this severe crash. i20 has received a decent 3-star rating on the GNCAP crash test. The premium hatchback is a prominent product in the segment and one of the veterans which created the segment itself. Now, there are other players like Maruti Baleno and Tata Altroz.

Daughter of Politician Involved in a Road Accident
The incident has been shared on the YouTube channel of Prateek Singh. He regularly posts such content to raise awareness among Indian buyers regarding the importance of investing in safer cars with high GNCAP ratings. According to this video, there were 3 people in the car including Tania. It was late at night when they were heading toward Hyderabad. Her friend Mirza Ali was at the wheel while Diya was the other friend who was in the car.

Suddenly, the driver lost control of the car, perhaps due to high speed, and ended up hitting a road divider. As a result, Tania lost her life on the spot, while her two friends sustained some injuries. In the images, the sunroof of the car is seen opened. It is considered that it could be the reason for the death of Tania because the side pillars have not crumbled under the impact suggesting that the damage didn’t enter the cabin. Looking at the video, the hatchback experienced heavy damage but the cabin seems to be isolated.
