Mahindra XUV400 is an electric version of the already available and successful XUV300 but it is spotted in a partially-camouflaged guise in this video.
In a latest crash, a Mahindra XUV400 hits a Maruti Ertiga in New Delhi. XUV400 is an all-electric SUV that is based on the XUV300. However, the former boasts a higher length as the tax benefits under 4 m length are not valid on EVs. Taking advantage of that, Mahindra has stretched the SUV to accommodate more luggage room which was the pain point in the XUV300. On the other hand, Maruti Ertiga is the most popular MPV in the country. Here are the details of this crash.

Mahindra XUV400 Hits Maruti Ertiga
The video has been uploaded by Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel keeps featuring content around the performances of cars during unfortunate instances and road safety. This time around, the video shows a collision of a Mahindra XUV400 and a Maruti Ertiga. As per the information in the video, this crash has been reported from near the IGI Airport in New Delhi. The visuals show the front left side of the XUV400 and the rear right side of the Ertiga damaged.

It was reported that the Ertiga was parked on the side of the road when the speeding electric SUV hit it from behind. The driver of the XUV400 was said to be overspeeding which must be the reason why he lost control at a traffic signal just moments prior to the crash. The exact reason for that is not known. Nonetheless, the semi-camouflaged electric SUV came to a halt only after crashing into the parked MPV.

Damage to the Vehicles
The visuals reveal that the Ertiga and XUV400 have suffered moderate damage. The front left side of the XUV400 including the bumper, wheel, fender, headlamp, etc. have been damaged to some extent. On the other hand, the rear bumper, taillamp, side door panel, quarter window, etc. of the Ertiga are also deformed. However, no injuries were reported in this crash to anyone. We must advise our readers to follow traffic regulations and never overspeed. The latter continues to be the most common reason for road accidents.
