MG revealed the variant-wise prices of the Comet EV making it the most affordable EV in the market.

In the latest display of digital creativity, a Rally Edition of the MG Comet EV has been rendered. The wave of electrification is gripping the automobile industry at an unprecedented pace. Most major carmakers have announced their plans to go carbon neutral in the coming decades. Hence, the EV wave looks inevitable. But the current scenario shows that electric cars are way too expensive for a majority of the populace. Then there is the issue of the lack of charging infrastructure as well. New cars like the Comet EV are tackling the former issue quite well and with time, more such EVs are slated to arrive.

The digital rendition has been showcased by bagrawala_designs on Instagram. It has designed a thoughtful iteration of the compact urban EV. To make it fit for a rally, at least in the virtual realm, there is a roll cage installed on the exterior of the EV. This is composed of large iron rods to cover almost the entire exterior. This includes the front bumper area, the parts in front of the A-pillars, and an auxiliary roof light has been installed which is typical of rally cars, the rods cover the rear section of the EV too with a colossal roof-mounted spoiler.

On the sides, the entire profile has been altered using chunky alloys that extend way out of the regular width of the Comet. In fact, they lend a wide-body pattern to the electric car. There are large wheel arches designed to cover these chunky alloys as well offering a more imposing stance to it. At the rear, one could also see just how far out of the width of the body the tyres are as the suspension setup is evidently exposed. Moreover, the tyres have a high profile with more rubber for off-tarmac adventures.
