Hyosung GV250 Launch in India

The Hyosung GV250 looks like a classic cruiser

The Hyosung GV250 will be the first volume-driven model that DSK-Hyosung will launch in India. After tasting success in the market, selling over 1260 large capacity bikes since August 2012, the group now wants to see its bikes sell in the thousands. The GV650 Aquila Pro has been received well by buyers here, and there is no reason why the GV250 won’t be as popular.

The GV250 looks like a classic cruiser, with features like the single round headlight and many chrome parts all around. The six-spoke wheels look plain but classy which are complemented by the chrome exhausts, engine, handle bars and mirrors. The bike is long, with a stretched tank, split seats and a rear section that ends in a low swooping tyre cover.

The GV250 is powered by a V-twin, 249cc, fuel-injected,  oil cooled engine which pumps out a 28 BHP of power. The engine is mated to a five speed gearbox which transfers power to the rear wheel via an exposed chain. Telescopic forks up front and dual shocks at the back do suspension duty on the bike, while a disc at the front and drum at the back handle braking.

Launch dates of the bike have not been confirmed, it is expected to be in the market by the year end. The bike will be assembled in India through the CKD mode, lowering costs and increasing its appeal.
