Tesla Model V Robovan Visualized

I came across an enticing digital rendition of the Tesla Model V Robovan. Tesla is the largest EV maker on the planet. In fact, it is often credited with the revolution in the electric car industry globally. Today, it offers some of the most iconic EVs in the world. Moreover, it now plans to venture out of its top markets – USA, Europe and China. For that, it is even on the verge of commencing its operations in India. Now, it aims to cater to all the emerging markets across the globe. Elon Musk is known for ambitious projects and the Tesla Cybertruck is a prime example of that. However, he even mentioned an electric van a few years ago. That is the basis of this illustration.

Tesla Model V Robovan Concept

This video comes from SRK Designs on YouTube. The artist has gone to deep lengths to understand the design philosophy of the American auto giant. After acquainting himself with Tesla cars, he lets his imagination run wild. The consequence of that thought process is this electric van. At the front, it has the sloping bonnet line, a typical trait of any MPV. I like the way the artist has gone about designing the LED DRLs and the headlamps. These are very reminiscent of the current models on sale. Then there are LED DRLs vertically positioned on the bumper with a clean and minimalist pattern.

In addition to that, the side profile looks quite sleek and neat. There are hardly any creases on the side door panels. This is done to ensure high aerodynamic efficiency. Interestingly, this concept has buttons replacing the handles to operate the doors. With Tesla, you could expect such high-tech features. I also like the way the alloy wheels are designed. This pattern is quite common among modern EVs to ensure a low drag coefficient. The sloping roofline toward the rear completes the appealing layout. All in all, this certainly looks like something that Tesla could manufacture.

Author’s Note

Back in July 2022, Elon Musk tweeted, “Maybe Tesla should make a highly configurable Robovan for people & cargo?” This was a clear indication of what the Tesla boss was planning. Therefore, to think that something like this concept of the Robovan could never make it to production could easily be a fallacy. However, I think Tesla must have the launch of Cybertruck in mind prior to any other projects. Still, it is great to keep in mind that we might very well witness something like this on our roads in times to come.
