The recent Japanese Mobility Show revealed the newest Swift, highlighting modifications in its exterior, interior, and mechanical aspects. It remains uncertain whether these changes will be integrated into the Indian model. The standout feature is unquestionably the hybrid powertrain, offering an impressive mileage of approximately 30-35 km/l. However, there is no definitive report confirming whether the Indian version will adopt the same powertrain. Let’s delve into the specifics of the facelift model.

Next-Gen Maruti Swift Specs
Suzuki has showcased the Z12E 1.2-litre petrol engine for the Japan-spec Swift. The power and torque output with this mill is 82 hp and 108 Nm, respectively. This is slightly lower than the existing model which produces 88 hp and 113 Nm. There were also many reports floating around on the internet suggesting that it might also feature a strong hybrid engine in its native market. However, due to price constraints, we are not sure if it would make it to our shores. Hence, the chances of the regular Z Series engine making it to the India-bound Swift are high.

Interior and Features
The integration of numerous cutting-edge tech features has become a norm in contemporary automobiles, and the upcoming Maruti Swift is poised to follow suit. Drawing inspiration from the premium hatchback, Baleno, the new Swift is expected to significantly enhance its premium appeal compared to the current-generation variant. Anticipated modern amenities include a new free-standing infotainment display, a digital instrument cluster, a redesigned dashboard layout, automatic air conditioning, the latest connected car technology, smartphone connectivity supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an electronic parking brake, and a range of other features. While the Japanese model comes with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions, it remains uncertain whether the India-bound version will include these features.
