Mahindra Thar Armada Pickup Visualised
This digital rendition arrives from bimbledesigns on Instagram. It encapsulates a unique blend between a Mahindra Thar and an Armada with a cargo bed. At the front, it contains the iconic round headlamps of the Thar along with a large grille. I love the way the designer has created its front bumper. It lends a rugged vibe with hardcore off-roading characteristics. Just to fine-tune the aesthetics, the headlamp has a grille for protection. There is an auxiliary LED light bar on the bumper. One can also witness the colossal hood scoop and monstrous wheel arches.

There are additional lighting elements on the roof, a typical trait of an off-roading vehicle. However, what grabs the attention are the ginormous alloy wheels with mammoth tyres. These are typical off-roading tyres which can conquer any terrain without compromising the comfort of the passengers. There is also a solid luggage carrier on the roof. The cargo compartment carries a spare tyre which almost fills the cargo bed completely. Finally, the rear section is almost devoid of the bumper. Such cut-out design ensures excellent approach and departure angles. I am thrilled to report the details of this unique mash-up between a Mahindra Thar and an Armada pickup truck.

We appreciate the efforts the digital artist has put into this rendition. He has taken care of a lot of aspects, ensuring that he doesn’t go overboard with the modifications. However, we are certain that there is no pickup truck iteration of the Thar on the horizon. What will launch in our market in the coming months is the 5-door iteration of the Thar. At the moment, Thar has a negligible boot compartment and limited accessibility without just 2 doors. With the 5-door version, these issues will be resolved. Thar already enjoys immense demand in our market. We shall have to wait to know how well the potential buyers receive the 5-door version.
