Ola Mahindra Scorpio Drives on Its Own as Driver Seats in Backseat

In a rather bizarre turn of events, a case has emerged where the old Mahindra Scorpio is seen being driven on its own. All this while, the driver is sitting in the backseat. Now, I have reported innumerable cases of people abusing the ADAS features of modern cars. This is particularly true with the Mahindra XUV700 owners. It comes with Level 2 ADAS functions which can allow a vehicle to be driven on its own. However, it is always advised to not misuse it and never take your eyes off the road and hands off the steering wheel. Still, people end up doing that to create content for social media.

Old Mahindra Scorpio Drive on its Own

This post comes from jagjitsinghrinku on Instagram. It captures an astonishing visual. Two people are travelling in the old Scorpio. However, both of them are sitting at the rear. Interestingly, it seems like the steering wheel is turning on its own. What’s worse is that one of them is making reels for social media. As is the case with most such stunts, people just want to boast to their social media followers that they can do such crazy activities. That is, unfortunately, what gets them the views and engagement. However, it also jeopardizes a lot of lives.

In fact, we have seen many car owners getting involved in terrible accidents simply due to such careless conduct. Driving and following traffic regulations is something we have to take seriously. In this case, I am not too sure about how they have managed to control the steering because we know that the old Mahindra Scorpio doesn’t come with the ADAS feature. That’s why it makes no sense to get involved in such acts where the lives of the occupants, as well as others on the road, are in danger.

Our View

As I mentioned previously, the number of cases where people are misusing ADAS or performing perilous stunts on public roads just to gain followers and traction on social media is rising rapidly. It is high time we start following traffic protocols seriously and encourage everyone around us to do the same. That is the only way to safeguard our roads and minimize accidents. If you find anyone flouting traffic rules, make sure to report them to the authorities so that appropriate action can be taken against them.
