This latest video showcases the Mahindra Thar Roxx towing a tractor with relative ease. Thar Roxx is the 5-door iteration of the regular Thar. Mahindra has stretched it to increase its wheelbase, and in turn, the space inside the cabin, added a few new features, tweaked the platform, recalibrated the engines, and retained its immense off-tarmac prowess. Hence, the Thar Roxx caters to an even wider range of potential customers now. Let us take a look at the details of this latest case.
Mahindra Thar Roxx Tows a Tractor
This video clip stems from harshncrx on Instagram. The visuals capture a rather unique sight. A tractor has been tied to a Mahindra Thar Roxx. On the cue, the Thar Roxx driver accelerates hard. The SUV makes some noise due to the tyre trying to get some traction. Once that happens, the off-roader is able to pull the tractor without major effort. This is quite impressive to see. However, it is not clear whether or not the tractor was accelerating. In any case, we have seen the Thar Roxx demonstrating its powerful road presence on various occasions.
Under the tall hood of the Thar Roxx, you will find a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol mill OR a 2.2-litre mHawk turbo diesel engine. This mill belts out a healthy 162 PS (MT) / 330 Nm to 177 PS (AT) / 380 Nm, while the latter generates a healthy 163 PS (MT) / 330 Nm and 175 PS / 370 Nm (AT) of peak power and torque, respectively. These engines pair with a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. At the moment, only the higher diesel trims are available with a 4×4 configuration. The prices range from Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 22.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
