2024 Maruti Dzire Revealed – All You Need To Know

The 2024 Maruti Dzire shares the powertrain and transmission options with the latest Swift and bears tons of aesthetic updates to set itself apart from the current-gen model

The 2024 Maruti Dzire has finally been revealed in India. Note that this is the 4th generation avatar which looks completely different from the outgoing model. However, what is even more pertinent is the fact that it has lost connection with Swift totally, at least from the outside. The largest car marque in the country has given the new Dzire its unique identity. Even in terms of the features, there is the addition of a few new-age amenities. The compact sedan is slated to go on sale on November 11, 2024.

2024 Maruti Dzire Revealed

The exterior is what defines this new-gen model. At the front, it gets a sleek set of headlamps with integrated LED DRLs which seamlessly connect with the chrome strip on the front grille. The lower section of the grille is quite huge and fills the space on the bumper rather convincingly. Apart from that, there are fog lamps on the extreme edges of the bumper. The side profile is dominated by new stylish 15-inch alloy wheels and a chrome belt around the windows. At the rear, the new Dzire gets a shark fin antenna, tri-arrow-LED taillamps, a chrome bar on the bootlid, an integrated spoiler on the bootlid and a sporty bumper. All in all, this Dzire is, by far, the most unique iteration in comparison to its Swift counterpart.

Interior and Features

There are multiple interior themes to choose from including a sporty black or beige. It borrows a lot of elements from the 4th-gen Swift but includes some additional amenities like the electric sunroof, textured dashboard and a 360-degree camera. Other functionalities include:

Specs

This is one area which is different from the outgoing version. Sharing the powertrain with the Swift, the new Maruti Dzire draws power from a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine with mild hybrid technology which makes 82 PS and 112 Nm of peak power and torque. The transmission options include a 5-speed manual or an AMT. We will most likely have the CNG mill at a later stage. In the Swift, this petrol engine is good for mileage of 24.8 kmpl with the manual version and 25.75 kmpl with the automatic transmission. It remains to be seen what the Dzire will offer.
