The 2025 Honda CB650R and CBR650R have been launched in India. Now, while the CB650R is priced at Rs 9.60 lakh, the CBR650R bears a retail sticker of Rs 10.40 lakh, ex-showroom. The biggest talking point of the new bikes is Honda’s state-of-the-art E-Clutch technology. Let us read all the details here.

Honda has brought its new E-Clutch system to India with the launch of the 2025 CB650R and CBR650R. First introduced in November 2023, the Honda E-Clutch allows riders to start and shift gears without using the clutch lever. It works by automatically controlling the clutch, making gear changes smoother and easier. Both models come with a 649cc, inline four-cylinder engine. It produces 70 kW of power at 12,000 RPM and 63 Nm of torque at 9,500 RPM. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The E-Clutch helps reduce rider fatigue and improves control, especially in city traffic or during long rides.

The CB650R follows Honda’s Neo Sports Café style. It has a round LED headlamp, a sharp fuel tank, and a steel frame. It looks bold but simple. It comes in two colours – Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. The CBR650R has a more sporty look with a full fairing and a low, aggressive stance. It also comes in two colours – Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. This model includes Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for better grip and stability.

Both bikes feature Showa’s 41 mm SFF-BP front forks and a rear Monoshock. They also include dual front disc brakes and a single rear disc with dual-channel ABS. A 5.0-inch TFT screen displays key ride data and connects to smartphones via the Honda RoadSync app for calls, messages, and navigation. With the E-Clutch, Honda is trying to make riding easier and more fun for Indian motorcyclists. Let us see how well the customers embrace these new bikes.
