It will be connected to the Bluelink to redefine the connected mobility future for Hyundai cars globally
The Hyundai ‘Vehicle Digital Passport’ will be a first-of-its-kind solution to analyse vehicle telematics and service history to create a unique proprietary algorithm-based score of every connected Hyundai vehicle. The Korean auto giant has been having a great time on the sales charts in India for over two decades now. It continues to be the second-largest carmaker in the country. It caters to all major car segments in India. Apart from that, we keep coming across the latest tech features on its cars to make them stand out from their respective peers. For now, let us delve into the specifics of this case.
Hyundai Launches ‘Vehicle Digital Passport’
This digital tool collects information from a vehicle’s telematics and service records to create a detailed report. It is currently available for Hyundai vehicles that have Bluelink technology. The digital passport helps users understand their car better. It gives details about service history, accident records, warning lights, warranty status, and driving behaviour. The goal is to provide one place where car owners can track the condition and usage of their vehicle. The service is available at a starting price of Rs 399 per quarter. It includes a 7-page report with personalized advice based on the car’s performance and maintenance needs.
This report helps owners take better care of their vehicles and make informed decisions. Key features of the Digital Passport include verified data from Hyundai, clear insights into vehicle condition, and custom recommendations. Users can check how their car is doing and know when it needs service or attention. By using this service, customers can stay updated about their vehicle’s health and improve their driving habits. It aims to make owning and maintaining a car simpler and more transparent. With this launch, HMIL continues to focus on connected car technology. The Digital Passport is another step in using data to improve the experience of Hyundai owners across India.
Speaking on this occasion, “Mr. Jae Wan Ryu, Function Head – Corporate Planning, HMIL said, “Hyundai has been at the forefront of connected car revolution in India. Since the launch of Hyundai Bluelink in 2019, HMIL has sold over 7 Lakh connected cars in the country. Heralding new possibilities in data analytics driven by Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs), we are offering the Hyundai Vehicle Digital Passport as a value-added service for Hyundai customers with Bluelink enabled cars. HMIL becomes the first Hyundai Motor Group entity worldwide, to launch this service. This transformative service generates a holistic digital vehicle scorecard, and we are hopeful that vehicle analytics generated by this will encourage customers to drive responsibly and follow maintenance schedules proactively leading to safer mobility. We further envisage this service will serve as a useful tool while buying or selling pre-owned Hyundai vehicles, inducing transparency in the decision-making process.”
