Kia H1 2025 Sales

The Korean auto giant has been posting consistent growth in sales figures year on year

Kia India has registered a total of 142,139 sales in the first half of 2025, marking an impressive 12.7% growth in comparison to the same time last year. We know that Kia is one of the most successful foreign car marques in India. Ever since commencing operations in our market back in 2019 with the Seltos, the brand has only seen an upward trajectory. Subsequent products like the Sonet and Carens have contributed heavily towards growing sales each month. That has resulted in Kia being the fastest car company to reach 1 million (10 lakh) sales in our market.

Kia Sells 142,139 Cars in H1 2025

In comparison to H1 2025, Kia managed to dispatch a healthy 126,137 cars in H1 2025. Clearly, the brand is posting robust growth. The mass premium carmaker also exported a significant 11,813 vehicles in H1 2025. That is a testament to the Made-in-India products and represents India’s manufacturing capabilities. The latest launch from Kia was the Carens Clavis, which offers a luxurious and premium experience to buyers. Also, the Seltos and Sonet are already doing great on the sales charts.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, said, “The first half of 2025 has been encouraging for Kia India. Marked by steady growth despite industry-wide operational challenges, the response to our recently launched products, like the Carens Clavis has been great. With our first Made-in-India EV launching this month, we are diversifying our product portfolio, fortifying our long-term commitment to the evolving preferences of Indian customers. We are confident this launch will further increase our presence in the country’s fast-transforming mobility landscape. Going forward, we remain optimistic about sustaining a healthy growth trajectory in the second half of the year.”

My View

Kia has become quite popular among new-age car buyers due to its expanding portfolio. It is offering cars in all major segments to capture a huge chunk of the market share. It distinguishes itself from the rivals by offering affordable luxury. As a consequence, all its products are among the most feature-laden in their respective segments. In fact, it also caters to the high-end spectrum of our market with products like the EV6, Carnival Limousine and EV9. Let us see how well it performs going forward.
