The spy videos are surfacing frequently, suggesting that the debut might be around the corner
In this post, we take a look at the details of the Mahindra Thar Sports being spotted yet again in public. We know that the Indian car marque is prepping a monocoque iteration of the iconic Thar, mainly for the international markets. In fact, this news was broken by a bunch of Australian media houses a few weeks ago. Mahindra invited them to their testing facility, where it secretly informed them that the Thar Sports is almost in the final phase of its development. Ever since that time, we have been spotting the test mules across the country.
Mahindra Thar Sports Spied Again
The specifics of this occurrence stem from tirupur_mohan on Instagram. The visuals capture the heavily wrapped butch SUV plying on what looks like a highway. Someone driving close to it captured the entire saga in a video. Firstly, we witness the front section of the SUV. There are vertical slats and round headlamps along with the twin-peak Mahindra logo. Additionally, the bumper looks sturdy, and the bonnet is upright. On the sides, there are muscular creases along with modern amenities like flush-fitting door handles.
However, I particularly like the rugged elements like the body cladding on the side door panels and wheel arches. Also, the boxy silhouette and a flat tailgate lend it a tough appearance and an imposing road presence. Finally, the tail section contains a high-mount stop lamp, compact taillamps, a solid bumper and an elegant alloy wheel, which is somewhat similar to the one we see on the XUV700. Clearly, Mahindra will be going for a slightly premium vibe in terms of styling and interior.
My View
We know that Mahindra is planning a huge event on Independence Day (August 15, 2025). Along with showcasing a new Freedom_NU platform, there will be a few new products in the flesh. Therefore, we can expect the Mahindra Thar Sports to make its debut next month. Also, it will display its new technologies and some concept models for the future. Let us keep an eye out for more details in the coming month.
